Little Angels in the Studio

Here are some photos of Little Angels creating their art at the Angels’ Art Studio…

They Paint…
They Draw…
They Create…
They Imagine…
They Play…
They Laugh…

Joy, Love and Happiness flow around, into their art, into their heart and into their innocence soul.

SANDPLAY Corner and Play Time

I’m currently taking Sandplay Therapy and Symbol Work workshops. Since then, I decided to place a sandtray and add more toys for the children who come to my art lessons to experience more fun in sandplay. They are exciting to see the sandplay at the first time, and are really enjoy playing the sand very much every time they come to my art studio.

Development psychologists have analyzed the extreme importance of play in the development of a child’s personality and ability to relate to the world. By emphasizing the importance and value of play, I let the children to have balanced time for play and art in the class, where play can stimulate creativity too.  Thus, sandplay which carries therapeutic effects in children has given them a time and space to get in touch with something nature using hands that connect to the sensations of the bodies through kinesthetic movements.

Sandplay is a hands-on, expressive counselling and psychotherapy modality that has been in use for well over 50 years. It has been used with children, adolescents and adults in schools, hospitals, welfare agencies and private counselling practices. Although the sandplay at my studio is not for individual counseling purposes, but I believe the children in my class enjoy and get the benefits from the positive and therapeutic effects from PLAY.

Helpful Little Angels
They are such helpful little angels, always help to tidy up the toys after the play, sweep the sand on the floor, keep the books and water the lovely plants at the studio. I feel that it’s a good way of nurturing responsibility and self-discipline in children. Also, learning to do some simple house work is one of the good ways in training the children’s daily life skills and kinesthetic exercises, too!
