We
had our FIRST children art exhibition and award in March 2013. It was really
wonderful and joyous when most of the parents came to see the masterpieces
painted by their talented children. We could really see how proud the parents felt
for their children and how happy the children were in their first experience
participating in a proper Art exhibition.
Let’s recall the happy moments in the photos below:
(i) Fun Art & Craft corner
(ii)
Sharing talk on - What is Children's Art All About?
Parents were very attentive on listening to the speaker sharing about the true children's art and how parents can encourage and appreciate their children's art.
(iii) Parents were so proud of their children !!!
“I really like the way you engage kids and bring out their imagination
in drawing – Lakshmi (7 yrs) tells me you tell them stories and ask them to
draw about it. This i find it as a good method to explore the imagination of
the kids.
I also like the fact that you don’t teach them to draw but they are encouraged to use their mind to capture things in the drawings.
I am very happy that Lakshmi is under your guidance- as in Lakshmi's words – it’s FUN to go to art class!!”

Hi Teacher
Khoo,
Namaskar
!
First of
all, thank you for organizing such a Wonderful art exhibition for all the
children. We appreciate the opportunity given to Ian Ming (4 yrs) to
participate in this. Though I think he doesn't quite understand what was it
about but when he is older and look back at the photo he will be happy to know
that.
Ian Ming
is doing well with the sensory integration program and he is improving in terms
of his speech, hand strength and understanding of his surroundings. I hope
after 3 months of intensive training and when he returns to your art class, he
will be more ready and capable of expressing himself through art. He misses you
and his friends at the art class. He always tell me 'GO PAINTING, GO
PAINTING!'. That means he WANTS to go to your class :)
This art exhibition is Very Inspiring to me. Thank you for everything!
